White Blood Cell Counts
White blood (WBC) cell counts (109/l) in dogs vaccinated with Vanguard® 7 followed by challenge with CPV2c.
Post-challenge WBC counts of individual dogs in the vaccinated group ranged from 75% to 110% compared to individual mean pre-challenge counts calculated from days 38, 40, and 42 values. In contrast, both dogs of the control group showed an increase in WBC counts to >154% 3 days after challenge (day 45) followed by a decline to ≤65% on day 47 and 22% on day 49.
